Welcome to Mathspot!
This site is dedicated to down-to-Earth lessons in math and science, but not without some things to make them unique. With nearly every lesson, you’ll see Computable Document Format (CDF) programs to aid you in your understanding of the material. These programs are all written in Mathematica, but you don’t need Mathematica to use them. However, you will need the CDF player (don’t worry, it’s a quick and free installation) which you can download from Wolfram Research here: Download CDF player. Also, there will be plenty of tips and tricks for you to use on Wolfram Alpha, which is a really cool website that uses much of the same technology as Mathematica but is free for everyone to use.
Like any other math site, written explanations are always included, but Mathspot utilizes the tools provided by Wolfram Research as a significant supplement.
In addition to lessons, CDFs, and tips for Wolfram Alpha, all material provides several example problems (and step-by-step solutions) that you can use to test yourself.
Plus, don’t forget to check out the other cool stuff here that might not be a math lesson, but is still worth a look. You’ll be able to find other useful tools from Wolfram Research (like other resources and training in Mathematica), games (not math games, but just clean, simple video games), and more.
If you have anything, anything at all, to add, feel free to leave a comment or to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. Your feedback would be greatly appreciated.
Other than that, just have a look around!
